Whiskey Sour
Sour cocktails come in many forms — margaritas, sidecars, palomas and the classic whiskey sour. The key to a great whiskey sour is the balance of its flavors, making it not as sour as you might expect. Craft this classic cocktail and taste why it’s remained a favorite for generations.
Ingredients
- 2 oz whiskey
- ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- Maraschino cherry, for garnish
- Lemon slice, for garnish
Directions
- Combine all ingredients, except for garnishes, in a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously, then strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with cherry and lemon slice.
