Mulled Wine
Mulled wine has been around since the second century. First created as a defense against winter’s cold, spices were added as a perceived health benefit and to improve taste. Grab your favorite mug and enjoy this warming and delicious hot cocktail.
Ingredients
- 750-mL bottle Ménage à Trois Lavish Merlot
- ¼ c Paul Masson Grande Amber Brandy VS
- 8 whole cloves
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 whole star anise
- 1 orange, cut into slices
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Serve in mugs.
