This Zinfandel immediately captures heady stewed strawberry and red raspberry cordial tones alongside dried herbs and shades of cloves on the nose. The palate is viscous, showing bright acidity and a fantastic core of dark fruits, with lighter red cherry, tobacco leaf and loamy soil tones. This is seriously good and is not for the weary at 16.5% alcohol — but the vibrant acidity helps this to come off quite fresh.
