Deep purple to black hue in color. The bouquet springs forward with high tone notes of cedar, black current, sarsaparilla, fresh liquorice, cloves, aniseed and smoked meats. With a palate medium-weight in texture, this wine starts out with a nice core of dark berry fruits that draw late into the palate. When the tannins take over, they are broad in appeal, with loads of cassis and black fruit flavors. This is a wine that offers immediate pleasure.
