Tsinandali is a wine appellation in the Kakheti region of Georgia on the foothills of the Caucasus mountains. This crisp acidic, dry, white wine is made with rkatsiteli and mtsvane (which translates to “young and green,” specific to the grape’s coloring) grapes, matured with no skin contact for at least two years to create a complexity between aroma and taste. It's a pale amber color and offers a fresh, harmonious taste and light body with hints of anise and a nutty finish. Best served with seafood and cheeses.
