Don't let the name fool you — the sidecar has more than a supporting role in the world of cocktails. This historic drink is the perfect embodiment of sweet and sour rounded out by cognac, which makes it not only a tasty cocktail to sip, but a great digestif at the end of a meal.
Ingredients
- 2 oz cognac
- ½ oz triple sec
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- Sugar, for garnish
Directions
- Rim a coupe glass with sugar; set aside.
- Combine all ingredients, except for garnish, in a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake and strain into prepared glass.
