Infused Vodkas Recipe

Ingredients

  • 750-mL bottle Grey Goose Vodka
  • 2 c cranberries, rinsed, drained and dried
  • 5 rosemary sprigs
  • ¾ c dark roast coffee beans
  • 3 chili peppers, cut into quarters
  • 3-inch piece of honeycomb
  • 4 medium oranges, peels only
  • 6 oz dark chocolate, broken into pieces

Directions

  1. Cranberry Rosemary-Infused Vodka: Muddle cranberries lightly in a large bowl. Combine cranberries, rosemary and 750-mL bottle of vodka in a large airtight jar and store in a dark, cool location one to two weeks; shake lightly daily to distribute flavors. Strain through a cheesecloth-lined strainer into a pitcher, then pour into clean hermetic bottles (for gifting) using a funnel when infusion has reached desired taste. Store in refrigerator.
  2. Coffee-Infused Vodka: Place coffee beans in a plastic bag and lightly crush with a rolling pin. Combine crushed coffee beans and 750-mL bottle of vodka in a large airtight jar and store in a dark, cool location two to four days; shake lightly daily to distribute flavors. Strain through a cheesecloth-lined strainer into a pitcher, then pour into clean hermetic bottles (for gifting) using a funnel when infusion has reached desired taste. Store in refrigerator.
  3. Honeycomb Chili-Infused Vodka: Combine chili peppers, honeycomb and 750-mL bottle of vodka in a large airtight jar and store in a dark, cool location three days; shake lightly daily to distribute flavors. Strain through a cheesecloth-lined strainer into a pitcher, then pour into clean hermetic bottles (for gifting) using a funnel when infusion has reached desired taste. Store in refrigerator.
  4. Chocolate Orange-Infused Vodka: Peel oranges carefully to get only the rind and not the white pith which can be bitter. Combine orange peels, chocolate and 750-mL bottle of vodka in a large airtight jar and store in a dark, cool location two to three weeks; shake lightly daily to distribute flavors. Strain through a cheesecloth-lined strainer into a pitcher then pour into clean hermetic bottles (for gifting) using a funnel when infusion has reached desired taste. Store in refrigerator.
