Pressed Italian Chiller
Try this unique method for making cocktails. Using a French press allows you to get the maximum flavor out of the strawberries and basil leaves without them clogging up your straw. These intense flavors combine with sweet niagara wine and bitter liqueurs to make a beautiful and flavorful cocktail that’ll impress at your next garden party.

Ingredients
- ¼ c simple syrup
- 4 strawberries, quartered, plus slices for garnish
- 4-5 basil leaves, plus sprigs for garnish
- 1 c Mazza Vineyards Niagara
- ½ c Aperol Liqueur
- ½ c Campari Bitter Aperitivo
- Mineral water
Directions
- Muddle first three ingredients in a French press until fragrant.
- Add next three ingredients and let rest for 1 minute.
- Cover and gently press plunger rod down to bottom.
- Pour into rocks glasses filled with ice.
- Top with mineral water.
- Garnish with strawberry slices and basil sprigs.
