Product Highlights
The Felsina Pagliarese Chianti Classico has an intense ruby red in appearance and is marked by delicate yet fragrant fruit, with impressions of spice and earthy mineral. It's warm and elegant on the palate, with fine-grained tannins, progressing into a finale that is well-balanced and lingering, infused with fruit — wild forest berry —and spice encountered on the nose.

Poggiali has slowly restructured Pagliarese's 20 hectares of vineyards
replanting with a massal selection from old vines dating back to 1966. The
Riserva is a selection of choice bunches in the vineyard. Aged in large
Slavonian oak, it has a slightly wild, untamed character marrying
Mediterranean herbs with dark forest undergrowth. Succulent fleshy plum fills
the mouth which is packed with personality and chewy tannins. — 91 PointsDecanter, February 17, 2020 |
