Deep violet-red to the eye, this wine has a nose of blackberry pie, slightly burnt caramel and herbs de Provence. Spicy notes of mint and licorice back black cherry, black currant, mocha, violet and thyme flavors. Vivid acidity keeps muscular tannins from overrunning the palate.
