Pale gold, a peek of the complexity created by the careful aging process. On the nose, restrained smoky flavors and aromas of sweet vanilla, wood spice, smoked bacon and a hint of dried fruit. On the palate, layered and creamy, with flavors of pepper, iodine and peat smoke along with hints of green apple. A lingering finish with waves of smoke and a peppery conclusion. This cask strength single malt spends a quarter of a century in ex-Bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry barrels.
