Expert Reviews
From Oregon's most storied old Riesling vines, the Hyland Estates Old Vine Riesling punches way above its price point, showing why the Willamette Valley may be the best West Coast growing region for the grape. The aromas flash the complexity of these old vines. Honeyed ginger aromas are flanked by ripe peach flesh and grilled orange peel. The palate shows depth and ripe fruit. Grilled lemon and smoked sea salt hint at this wine's smoky mineral core. Tangy citrus and ripe peach meet cardamom and seaspray, a delicious young Riesling that will show even more in 8 to 10 years. Drink 2023 through 2032.

Aromas of lemon drop hard candies, honeycomb and red apples fill the air, followed by a wee bit of talc. The palate vibrates with acidity, lighting up Meyer lemon, tonic water with a lemon slice and Bosc pear flavors. Serve with fried goat cheese balls and rule the world.
