Ripe, concentrated and oh-so-Barossa aromas of plum, black cherry and blackberry preserves overlays bay leaf and cedar and chocolate-vanilla oak. There's a welcome lift of acidity amidst the rich, ripe fruit, and a well-placed frame of toasty, fine tannins. The oak is showing more than this reviewer would like, but this is a vintage that could last the ages.
