On the nose are hints of tobacco and chocolate-covered cherries with a touch of oak. The palate tastes of caramel, vanilla bean, dark chocolate and oak. This bourbon has a full-bodied finish with baking spice, vanilla and butterscotch.
In tribute to the original Eagle Rare brand launched in 1975, this whiskey is once again bottled at the original strength of 101 proof. Last year’s vintage was given the highest-scoring entry per category and was awarded the Chairman’s Trophy at the 2022 Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
