The berry fruit flavors of this young, tight and spicy estate-grown wine feel lighter than the listed alcohol. The tannins muscle in and dominate, but with aggressive aeration more of the pretty cherry fruit emerges. There remains a green and bitter edge to the tannins however. More bottle age may help to smooth it out.
