Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Cap de Mourlin opens with notions of baked blackberries, plum pudding and espresso giving way to nuances of dried herbs, camphor and pencil shavings plus wafts of star anise and fenugreek. Full-bodied, super concentrated and opulently fruited, it has firm, rounded tannins and just enough freshness, finishing very long and spicy.
