Our flagship expression is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest and most complex single malt of them all. Yet it doesn’t flaunt the peat. Rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance. Matured for 10 years in 1st fill and 2nd fill ex-bourbon American oak casks to create a smoky balance of sweet vanilla and bold spice. The taste is a peat and spiced fruit explosion of bananas and currants, pepper and cinnamon, spiced toffee and smoke. The long and smoky finish exudes tarry espresso, aniseed, toasted almonds and fresh pear.
