Manatawny’s friends at Whiskey Hollow use Manatawny whiskey barrels to age their Pennsylvania maple syrup for up to a year. Once empty, these syrup-soaked barrels are sent back to the distillery where they are used to finish the maple whiskey for six months. Before bottling, the whiskey is lightly fortified with aged maple syrup, resulting in a decadent, slightly sweet whiskey.
