This white mulled wine should be remembered back to the times which were so significant for Nuremberg. However it is knotting to a centuries-old drinking tradition the so-called “spicy wine” which was manufactured from white wine from the surrounding area of Nuremberg. It was sweetened with honey which came from the guild of the Zeidler from the Reichswald. The exquisite spices were contributed from the “Nuremberg’s pepper sacks” – merchants which were trading with spices from distant countries between Venice and the Hanseatic cities.

Today the Nürnberger Glühwein is a special quality product that is so well-known it is protected within the EU.
