So a guy walks into a bar and says, “Hey, wait a minute, I could do this at home!” Make your cocktails just like you like them and surprise your guests with something different. All you need is a cocktail shaker and a few basic ingredients—swizzle stick optional.
Bahama Mama Sunrise
Bahama Mama Sunrise

Ingredients:
1 oz. Dark Rum
1 oz. Light Rum
1 oz. Coconut Rum
2 oz. Orange Juice (or to taste)
2 oz. Pineapple Juice (or to taste)
Splash Grenadine

Mix all ingredients (except Grenadine) in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass with ice.

Strain into a glass filled with ice and serve.

Garnish with fruit, as desired.

Bloody Mary
Bloody Mary

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Vodka
3 oz. Tomato Juice
1 dash Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2–3 drops Tabasco Sauce
1 stalk of Celery

Shake all ingredients (except lime wedge) with ice and strain into a highball glass over ice cubes.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Add the celery and serve.

Brandy Alexander

Ingredients:
1 oz. Brandy
1 oz. white Creme de Cacao
1 oz. Light Cream
Nutmeg

Mix all ingredients (except nutmeg) with ice.

Strain contents into a Martini glass.

Sprinkle nutmeg on top and serve.

For a frozen version, substitute vanilla ice cream for the light cream, and mix with brandy and crème de cacao in a blender.

Cosmopolitan
Cosmopolitan

Ingredients:
1 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1/2 oz. Sweetened Lime Juice
1/2 oz. Cranberry Juice
1 wedge of Lime

Shake all ingredients (except lime wedge) together with ice.

Strain into a Martini glass, place lime wedge on glass, and serve.

Daiquiri
Daiquiri

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Light Rum
Juice of 1/2 Lime
1 tsp. Powdered Sugar
1 cup Crushed Ice (optional)

Shake all ingredients with ice.

Strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

For a frozen daiquiri, combine all ingredients with ice in a blender. Blend well at high speed.

Gin And Tonic
Gin and Tonic

Ingredients:
2 oz. Gin
5 oz. Tonic Water
1 wedge of Lime

Pour the gin and the tonic water into a glass filled with ice cubes.

Stir well. Garnish with the lime wedge, and serve.

Manhattan
Manhattan

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Whiskey or Bourbon
3/4 oz. Sweet Vermouth
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Cherry

Mix ingredients (except cherry) with ice.

Strain into a Martini glass, garnish with cherry and serve.

Margarita
Margarita

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Tequila
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1 oz. Lime Juice
Salt
1 wedge of Lime (optional)
1 cup Crushed Ice (optional)

Rub rim of Margarita glass with lime juice, dip rim in salt.

Shake all ingredients with ice.

Strain into the salt-rimmed glass, garnish with lime wedge and serve.

For a frozen Margarita combine all ingredients (except lime wedge) and ice in blender. Blend well at high speed.

Martini
Martini

Ingredients:
1 2/3 oz. Gin
1/3 oz. Dry Vermouth
1 Olive

Stir gin and vermouth together with ice.

Strain into a Martini glass, add the olive and serve.

Mint Julep
Mint Julep

Ingredients:
4 sprigs Mint
1 Tsp. Powdered Sugar
2 Tsp. Water
2 1/2 oz. Bourbon

Muddle 3 sprigs mint, sugar and water in a highball glass.

Fill with crushed ice and add bourbon.

Garnish with remaining mint sprig and serve.

Mojito
Mojito

Ingredients:
2-3 oz. Light Rum
Juice of 1 Lime (1 oz.)
2 tsp. Sugar
2–4 sprigs Mint
Soda Water

Muddle the mint (reserving a sprig) and sugar with a splash of soda water in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass until the sugar dissolves and you smell the mint.

Add the lime juice and rum and shake with ice.

Strain over ice into a rocks glass.

Top with soda water, garnish with mint sprig and serve.

Old-Fashioned
Old-Fashioned

Ingredients:
3 dashes Bitters
1 tsp. Water
1 Sugar Cube (or ½ tsp. Sugar)
3 oz. Bourbon
1 Slice Orange
1 Maraschino Cherry

In an Old-Fashioned glass, muddle the bitters, water, orange slice and cherry into the sugar cube, using a muddler or the back of a teaspoon.

Fill the glass almost to the top with ice cubes and add the Bourbon. Serve with a swizzle stick.

Rum and Coke
Rum and Coke

Ingredients:
2 oz. Rum
4 oz. Coca-Cola

Pour rum and Coke into a rocks glass filled with ice and serve.

For a longer drink, serve in a taller glass with more Coke.

Rum Runner
Rum Runner

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Coconut Rum
1 oz. Blackberry Brandy
3–4 oz. Orange Juice
3–4 oz Pineapple Juice
3–4 oz. Cranberry Juice

Mix all ingredients with ice or blend. Pour into a glass and serve.

Garnish with fruit, as desired.

Screwdriver
Screwdriver

Ingredients:
2 oz. Vodka
Orange Juice

Pour vodka over ice in a highball glass; fill with orange juice, stir and serve.

Sidecar
Sidecar

Ingredients:
2 oz. Cognac
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1 oz. Lemon Juice

Mix all of the ingredients with ice.

Strain into a Martini glass and serve.

Stinger
Stinger

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Brandy
1/2 oz. White Creme de Menthe

Shake ingredients with ice, strain into a Martini glass and serve.

Tequila Sunrise
Tequila Sunrise

Ingredients:
2 oz. Tequila
Orange Juice
2 dashes Grenadine
1 slice Orange
1 Maraschino Cherry

Pour tequila into a highball glass with ice, and top with orange juice. Stir.

Add Grenadine by tilting the glass and pouring two dashes down the side of the glass very quickly.

The grenadine should go straight to the bottom and then rise up slowly through the drink.

Garnish with cherry and orange and serve.

Tom Collins
Tom Collins

Ingredients:
2 oz. Gin
1 oz. Lemon Juice
1 tsp. Superfine Sugar
3 oz. Club Soda
1 Maraschino Cherry
1 slice Orange

In a shaker or mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, lemon juice and sugar. Shake well.

Strain into a Collins glass filled with ice cubes.

Add the club soda.

Stir, garnish with the cherry and the orange slice, and serve.

Vodka Martini
Vodka Martini

Ingredients:
1 2/3 oz. Vodka
1/3 oz. Dry Vermouth
1 Olive

Stir vodka and vermouth with ice in a mixing glass.

Strain into a Martini glass, add the olive and serve.

Whiskey Sour
Whiskey Sour

Ingredients:
2 oz. Blended Whiskey
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
1/2 tsp. Powdered Sugar
1 Cherry
1/2 slice Lemon

Mix Blended Whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice.

Strain into an Old-Fashioned glass.

Garnish with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry and serve.
